Happy Thanksgiving, Y’all!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving according to my calendar! At Fredericksburg Farms we celebrate Turkey Day each year with an all-company pot luck. We fry the turkeys and everyone brings something to share, it is a feast beyond compare and no one goes away hungry. We had the feast this past Monday and have been enjoying Thanksgiving leftovers all week. The downside is they are almost gone, the upside, we get to do it all again tomorrow as we take the day off to celebrate with family and friends. Black Friday and Cyber Monday

Black Friday and Cyber Monday

So what’s the deal with Black Friday and Cyber Monday? Introducing our CANDLE CREW!

Introducing our CANDLE CREW! We are so lucky to have the best group of people that work diligently to bring you our hand-crafted Fredericksburg Farms candles and wax melts. They stay busy daily setting out the candle glass, attaching wicks to the bottoms of the glass jars, and then attaching a metal band to each jar that holds the wicks upright as the candles are poured. We use a special soy blend wax that holds the fragrance for a long burning, highly scented candle. Once poured the candles are allowed to cool before being labeled, lidded and packed in cases...

Halloween traditions

Halloween traditions

Do you have any special Halloween traditions? One of mine is making homemade popcorn balls. My grandmother always made popcorn balls at Halloween when I was a child. I can see her popping the popcorn in a big heavy saucepan on the stove, then dumping the popped corn in a huge bowl, and lastly, she boiling a sugar syrup and pouring it over the popped corn. Then things happened fast…she buttered her hands and began forming the syrup coated popcorn into balls, placing them on wax paper to cool. When I make them now for our employees, and feel that...
