Many folks think that tomatillos are just green, unripe tomatoes, but that's just wrong. They're a vegetable with its own separate identity. When you find them in the produce section at the supermarket they're still in their crispy, tan husks, which must be removed before they're used. Tomatillos make a great salsa. You'll agree when you taste our tomatillo salsa. We add some charred tomatoes and Serrano chiles, plus a handful of cilantro to make a taste that's mighty pleasing on a corn chip. Great on baked potatoes and grilled fish too.

Ingredients: tomatillos (tomatillos, water citric acid), onions, roasted tomato puree, roasted jalapeno peppers, pineapple juice, vinegar, habanero peppers, lime juice, salt, cilantro, garlic powder, spices, xanthan gum.

Produced in a plant that comes into contact with tree nuts.

Size: 12 oz. (340g)

Made in Texas

Old San Antonio Tomatillo Salsa

This is mine and my families absolute favorite! We always make trips to Buc-ee’s in Denton Texas (we live in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) and completely stock up our kitchen with these! However our last trip to Buc-ee’s we were sadly told they no longer carry this! We were so bummed! Guess we will be ordering from your site directly now instead of taking our quarterly road trips. Please never stop making this one! It’s the absolute best!!! I wish this salsa was available in the Oklahoma market!

Tomatillo salsa

I liked it. Hot. The parts seemed to individually separated which is not like other sauces I've had. Hard to keep on a chip. But. I ate it all.
