CREAM CHEESE COOKIES WITH STRAWBERRY POCKETS
We all have fond memories of baking cookies with Mom as a child, and you can carry on the tradition with these quick and easy but really, really good cookies. There are only 4 ingredients, plus powdered sugar for topping, so there’ll be lots of time in the cookie-making session for giggles and laughs. |

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Let the cream cheese and butter soften at room temperature. Combine the cream cheese, butter, and flour with hands to form a dough. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and flatten with a small flat-bottomed glass dipped in flour. Put a small amount of Old Fashioned Strawberry Preserves in the middle of each round and then fold the dough over to enclose the preserves and form a half-moon shape. Press edges with a fork to seal. Place cookies on baking sheets and bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly browned. Transfer cookies to a wire rack and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cool before serving. |
