Remember “Snow Days” back from childhood? Maybe you lived somewhere where it never snowed so this surprise holiday from school may not have been known to you. Some places have “Hurricane Emergency Days” or “Wildfire Emergency Days” and these come with impending danger and possible loss of life and property and are inherently scary. A “Snow Day” on the other hand, was never dreaded by kids. No school, and a day to play outside making snow forts and having snowball fights with your neighborhood friends. We had a “Snow Day” yesterday here at Fredericksburg Farms. Everyone stayed home and the area schools were closed. It was glorious…it is still fun to make a snow angel and catch snowflakes on your tongue no matter what age you are.
