January in Texas means the beginning of Stock Show Season! All across the state young people who are members of FFA and 4-H are readying their entries. These entries range from animals such as hogs, lambs, goats, cattle, rabbits, and chickens, to farm utility vehicles like trailers entered in the Ag-Mechanics division. All of these entries represent countless hours spent by the young people bringing their various projects to fruition. At Fredericksburg Farms we sponsor several awards at our local Gillespie Co. Stock Show and we are buyers at the auction afterwards. My granddaughter won 13th place with her pen of pullets (chickens)…way to go, Amelia! Good luck to all of the entrants in the upcoming shows.
